The usual array of pretty stuff is thrown in too: the Wildfire Case contains 16 community weapon skins and a Bowie knife. It's not a common occurrence that Valve takes action against mods to its games, but that's exactly what's happening with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In fact, they're basically whipping out the ban hammer for folks who create servers that allow players to use custom skins for their various weapons. Kapseln: Enthalten Sticker, zum Verzieren der WaffenArtur Minacov, 21 and John Brechisci, 28, founded a site called OPSkins in January, and say they’ve since made a fortune buying and selling virtual video game gun skins online. If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. The screenshot above is a random selection of items from G2A's store, numbering up to hundreds of dollars. These are items that players will just have sitting around, some of them going unused, some of them dearly held collectors items, some of them in the hands of those totally unaware of what they're worth. Those players are already customers of these stores and will be looking to buy and sell at all times. If Kinguin and G2A can create a marketplace better than the other options out there, provide protections and services that others cannot due to their higher budget, that's money on the table. The global arms trade is one of the most lucrative markets in the world, but two young gamers have discovered the virtual weapons market isn’t too shabby either.
The future—aka 4K gaming—is made up of very, very small pixels. After spending the past two weeks checking out games on Samsung's U28D590D 4K monitor, I'm still going to call 4K gaming the near future rather than the present. Yes, you can play games at 3840x2160 pixels right now. Yes, 4K monitors are becoming more affordable. But are they worth it? After spending a couple weeks using one, I can comfortably say: no, not yet. Even for a high-end graphics card (or two), 4K is too demanding for max settings and high framerates. If you're willing to play at 30 frames per second, though, 4K is a different story.Read more at http://www.gamerevolution.com/features/how-microtransactions-propelled-counterstrike-global-offensive-to-stardom#lC77R22YgVcLuYlI.99 The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team just published a blog update detailing how future sets of beta keys for the game will be sent out. Key recipients will be selected from a pool of people that've completed a survey. The survey is a simple template intended to judge your CS savviness, combined with an automated peek at your hardware. Copy this into a Windows Explorer address bar to open Steam and start the survey: steam://takesurvey/2/
While this is just one example site, one can expect more to pop up. As Malwarebytes points out in its post, the Steam Mobile app that facilitates this system can only be downloaded directly from Steam, Google Play and the Apple Store. Anything else is fake and likely harmful to your devices. An Australian Counter-Strike Global Offensive player and streamer has had his prayers answered, after Valve dipped into their legendary bag of “one-time” gestures."I would look for high priced and rare items," he explains. "Generally they go together, but there are a few expensive items that are more common. Every time a weapon fell below a threshold I thought was acceptable to buy, I would buy it and essentially monopolize that item." He ended up doing this with several items back when the weapons trading boom first occurred.Apart from knives, he'd grab expensive AWPs, M4s and AKs -- these provided the most cashback.
The Daily Dot report that Wolski left the team due to a dispute involving months of pay owed by his former team Supa Hot Crew—a team linked to MYM through the company AK3 GmbH. A number of current and former MYM staff are employees of AK3, and Wolski said he was worried about similar issues with his new team. The finishers in Mortal Kombat X are more gruesome than ever. On some level that should be an obvious improvement, since this is the first game in the series to show up on this generation of hardware. But the developers have really gone the extra mile to make sure most of the fatalities go "too far" in new ways, from bodies getting ripped in half to faces being sliced off to reveal a tongue that sits there and twitches until you move forward to the next screen. The game also has brutalities, which are new--they aren't just the weird, sped-up dial-a-combo explosions that they were when they showed up in Mortal Kombat Trilogy.Brutalities are a fun way to style on your opponent because you do them during a fight's conclusion instead of waiting for it to shout "finish him" at you. Some of these are easy. For example, if you continue holding forward while ending your winning round with Erron Black's throw, he'll pull out his six-gun and shoot his victim's leg clean off. If you mash some buttons while winning a fight with Takeda's throw he'll rip off his opponent's arm at the end of it. Most of the brutalities are expanded, murderous takes on a character's special moves, so each character has around five brutalities. Many of them have more elaborate requirements, like not getting hit for seven seconds during a match or doing 30% of your damage with one move. Those requirements remind me of the way you'd need to hold down a button for 30 seconds to get Shang Tsung to morph into Kintaro for a fatality--you need to set up how, exactly, you're going to win before you've actually won. In some cases, that makes them risky and, when you pull them off, kind of impressive. They're also a lot faster than the standard fatalities. Faction Kills are also faster than the fatalities, and these tie into an overarching metagame where you pick one of five different factions and all your fights, online or off, deliver points into an overall pool. Once a week, the points are tallied and the winner gets access to a specific faction kill. It's a nice distraction that helps give all of your efforts a little more meaning, even if you're just playing through the story or grinding it out against the AI on one of the many different towers.
Another comment in that same thread claims that, after the ban, Flex admitted to having used cheats on ESEA servers for the past week, and that he did it to stop himself from playing the game.“It really is a grey area,” said Tomas “Morte” Kerbush, a professional gamer who plays Battlefield 4, another popular first person shooter. His team-mate Erik “2-Easy” Van Hoorn was more explicit: “Underage kids are betting and there is no way to control it.” On July 9th, Montreal is hosting the ESWC Counter-Strike: GO World Finals, and OPSkins will be the main sponsor, investing $100,000 in the event. “It’s huge for our city,” said Minacov. This year's Insomnia festival, the i47, will make the shift from Counter-Strike: Source to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Signups to the tournament have already begun. So, for your shot at ￡4,000 you better follow the instructions laid out below.
CS:GO isn’t without flaws—aside from the presence of hackers in competitive matches, the CS:GO competitive scene itself continues to suffer from DDOS attacks on players and servers during matches. The Dreamhack Invitational, despite being a LAN event, wasn't even safe from this. And those ancient maps, terrific as they generally are, aren't perfect. Nuke continues to heavily favor the CT side in CS:GO, arguably giving advantage to the team who starts on that side.In what comes as a nice Christmas present for any Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players who don't engage in nefarious deeds - or cheating, if you will - it's being claimed a huge amount of those falling on the naughty side of the fence have been banned."I recently cashed out $300 via PayPal," he notes. "I spent a few days looking for a guy with rep who would agree to my terms, and it all went well. PayPal trading can be very risky though, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a few months of experience."
Minacov and Brechisci manage the risks of the transactions and keep 10 percent of each sale. The two founders say they deal with an average of $120,000 in transactions per day, which means a daily profit of about $12,000. The men say they started their venture because players were getting scammed selling their virtual weapons online outside of the Steam Community Market, the hugely popular marketplace owned by Counter-Strike’s developer Valve.ʏһҳúcs go new items
